How to use the MyPLAYER builder

Pick a position and body, then move the attribute sliders until Overall Potential reads 99 build complete. As you go, the console shows which badges, animations and takeovers each rating unlocks.

  • Chase an unlock: click a next-unlock hint to see what a badge or animation needs, or press the arrow beside it to apply that upgrade in one step.
  • Watch linked ratings: raising one attribute can lift others. The Attribute change log shows what moved, and Undo takes it back.
  • Cap breakers last: add them once the base build is done. They raise ratings and unlocks but never add tokens or badge slots.
  • Load a build by name: every build gets an in-game name such as Point Center. Browse the build names directory, pick a name, and its example opens in the builder ready to edit. You can also start from a community build.
  • Import into NBA 2K: at 99 overall, press Send to 2K HQ and scan the QR code with the NBA 2K HQ app on your phone. Load the build in 2K HQ first, then import it into NBA 2K from the app.
  • Save and share: sign in to keep builds in your account, or copy the build link to share your current setup.

Yes. Every cap and cap breaker in the builder comes from NBA 2K27 itself. Cap breaker gains depend on your body and current ratings. Confirm your final build in the game before spending VC.

What does 99 build complete mean?

The builder marks your base build complete when its allocation reaches the completion rules from NBA 2K27. This describes your planned attributes, not your purchased player rating in the game.

Why did other attributes change when I raised one?

NBA 2K27 links some attributes together, so raising one can force related minimums upward. The builder applies the linked rules from NBA 2K27 and highlights adjusted attributes. Check the Attribute change log to see what moved.

Do badge token budgets equal badge slots?

No. Badge tokens are what you spend to equip badges, and each discipline earns its own. Badge slots are how many badges you can equip in that discipline. To equip a badge you need enough tokens and an open slot in its discipline. The builder shows both for every discipline.

Does my position change my attribute caps?

No. Position controls which heights, weights, and wingspans you can pick, and those body choices set your caps. Two builds with the same body have the same caps at any position.

Can I save and share my build?

Yes. Sign in to save builds to your account. Your browser also keeps your latest build locally. The builder saves your build into the page link as you edit, so copying the URL shares the exact build. The Share tab (the Share button on desktop) also turns your build into an image sized for X or Instagram, rendered on your own device.

Does an animation unlock mean I can buy it in the game?

It means your build meets our listed rating and height requirements. Animation requirements are based on reference data, and some source differences remain unresolved. Season, ownership and purchase availability are not confirmed by these checks.
