NBA 2K27 MyCareer Rebirth

Rebirth is the NBA 2K27 MyCareer system that lets your next build skip the early grind. Unlock a Rebirth tier and every new build you create starts with a share of your badge tokens, your past Max OVR already unlocked, and, on Tiers I through III, faster badge progression. This guide covers how to start the Rebirth quest with Ronnie 2K, the Overall requirements for all four tiers, and exactly what each tier gives you.

What Is Rebirth in NBA 2K27?

Rebirth is a quest reward system that carries progress from your existing MyPlayer builds over to new ones. Instead of starting every new build from scratch, a Rebirth-boosted save begins with a percentage of your badge tokens (25% to 100% depending on your tier), your previously reached Max OVR already unlocked, and, on Tiers I through III, 15% faster badge progression.

Rebirth applies to new saves only. Unlocking a tier does not change the build you used to earn it. Builds you create after unlocking a tier start with that tier's bonuses.

How Do You Unlock Rebirth?

The Rebirth quest comes from Ronnie 2K and sits in the Unlocks tab of your MyCareer quest menu. The quest description reads: "Ronnie 2K is stuck in a holodeck. Activate it to see what he has to say."

  1. Go to your MyCourt. The Rebirth holohelp is next to the exit.
  2. Activate the holohelp and talk to Ronnie 2K.
  3. That completes the first objective, Learn about Rebirth, and pays out 10,000 VC.

Once you have spoken to Ronnie 2K, the remaining objectives appear. Each one is completed by leveling a build to the required Overall rating, and each one unlocks the matching Rebirth tier. If you are chasing the higher tiers, our Cap Breakers guide covers raising your Max Overall.

What Are the Rebirth Tier Requirements and Rewards?

There are four Rebirth tiers, each marked by a phoenix emblem in the quest log. The first two come from leveling a single build, and the last two require multiple builds at 95+ Overall. Here is the full breakdown:

Rebirth: Tier I

Build at 90+ Overall

New saves receive:

  • 25% of your badge tokens
  • Past Max OVR unlocked
  • 15% faster badge progression

Rebirth: Tier II

Build at 95+ Overall

New saves receive:

  • 50% of your badge tokens
  • Past Max OVR unlocked
  • 15% faster badge progression

Rebirth: Tier III

2 Builds at 95+ Overall

New saves receive:

  • 75% of your badge tokens
  • Past Max OVR unlocked
  • 15% faster badge progression

Rebirth: Tier IV

3 Builds at 95+ Overall

New saves receive:

  • All of your badge tokens
  • Past Max OVR unlocked

Tier IV is the full package: new saves receive all of their badge tokens and your past Max OVR unlocked, so the separate badge progression boost from the earlier tiers no longer applies.
