How this builder works
Every number in this tool is measured from NBA 2K27 itself. Attribute caps come from the game's height, weight, and wingspan tuning tables, the overall rating uses the game's own attribute weights, and badge tiers check the same attribute thresholds the game does. When 2K ships a tuning update, the data here is re-verified before it changes.
Reading your overall rating
The big OVR number is the rating the game would display for this build. NBA 2K27 shows 98 for any finished build that is not maxed at 99 in every attribute, so hitting 98 with no room left is normal. The "room to grow" gauge is an approximate guide to how much upgrade capacity remains, not an exact point count.

Are these attribute caps accurate?
Yes, the caps are measured directly from NBA 2K27’s tuning data for every height, weight, and wingspan combination, not estimated from gameplay. If a tuning update changes a cap, the builder is updated after the new data is verified.
Why does my build stop at 98 overall?
NBA 2K27 displays 98 overall for every completed build except a perfect 99-in-everything build. Reaching 98 with no room left means your build is finished, not that the builder miscalculated.
Why did other attributes change when I raised one?
NBA 2K27 links some attributes together, so raising one can force related minimums upward. The builder applies the same rules and flags every attribute it adjusted so nothing changes silently.
Do badge token budgets equal badge slots?
No. Token budgets show how many badge tokens your build earns in each category. The game unlocks badge slots through a separate system that this builder does not model, so treat tokens and slots as different things.
Does my position change my attribute caps?
No. Position controls which heights, weights, and wingspans you can pick, and those body choices set your caps. Two builds with the same body have the same caps at any position.
Can I share my build?
Yes. The builder saves your build into the page link as you edit, so copying the URL shares the exact build. Your browser also keeps your latest build locally for the next visit.
